In a monographic symposium session of 1.5 hours, researchers affiliated to the LEADER Project presented and discussed with the audience preliminary outcomes on:

  • A systematic review on publications on social costs related to legal and illegal drugs
  • A systematic review and analyses of available guidance documents to estimate social costs due to legal and illegal drugs
  • A first draft of the Excel-based costs estimate tool and illustrative examples
  • A systematic realist review and analyses of the impact of economic downturns on drug use

Peter Anderson's presentation at the European Week Against Cancer 2013

The Irish Cancer Society in partnership with the Association of European Cancer Leagues, hosted the Official Conference for the European Week Against Cancer in the Aviva stadium Dublin on May 29-30, 2013. This two day conference brought together international evidence and public policies that can reduce the risk of cancer. 

Professor Peter Anderson, co-leader of the ALICE RAP project, participated in the conference, giving an overview of the relationship between alcohol and cancer.

Alice Rap scientists' presentations at the Alcohol in the European Union 2012 Conference

Two Alice RAP sicentists gave several presentations at the Alcohol in the European Union 2012 Conference organised by WHO Europe, which took place in Copenhagen, 27th March 2012.

Dr. Peter Anderson, coordinator of the ALICE RAP project, gave an overview of cost-efective alcohol policy options. Jürgen Rehm, leader of Area 2, spoke on alcohol exposure and attributable harm in the European Union.
